This is the crest of the ridge at last. It’s all down hill or flat to complete, as long as you avoid side streets that cross canyons up and down.

Zig-zag alleyways and streets are ‘Bike Route’ through near-shore neighborhoods. You can continue zig-zag all the way to the Ocean Beach Pier, or as we did, just follow streets into ‘OB’.

West Point Loma Blvd has good bike lanes physically separated in this stretch. Alternate route is behind the mall, take Ollie Street to Venus Street, then wind through Loma Riviera Drive and apartments, back to West Point Loma Blvd, The Famosa Slough at Adrian is just 2 blocks west to our start point
