July 13 and the tenth day of cyclability. Today we fulfilled the planned plan but the price we paid was relatively expensive. And I say this because despite the fact that the route was not harder than previous ones, neither in a vertical drop (1100m) nor in Kilometers (110), it turned out to be very hard in terms of traffic. Slovenia proved to be almost a trap. We circulated as and where the organization Eurovelo indicates, however it is a road with a very intense traffic with trucks, buses, motorcycles ... and at a very high speed, without respect to the cyclist, with overtaking prohibited to us and between them. The trucks practically brushed us and the shoulder is non-existent. Sincerely an authentic madness of day where we saw our lives in danger several times and did not enjoy the landscape since we were always traveling a road that traveled a huge valley without pain or glory. Obviously this could not continue and since the beginning we decided to consult variants in wikiloc found the routes of the user Txurrus that we finally decided not to take because a very friendly Slovenian cyclist told us that the road was not dangerous. Evidently the danger strip is marked by each one, but we strongly advise you to consult the Txurrus routes from "Maribor to Celje" and from "Celje to Liubjana"
The signage in Slovenia is absolutely non-existent, there is nothing marked and nobody knows anything about the Eurovelo route, and that this country crosses three eurovelos. In terms of language, young people speak English perfectly and some older people also speak it.
The driving style is aggressive and they circulate with little respect to the rules and at high speed. Care on the roads.
