Although the choice is difficult, we can venture to affirm that this was the most beautiful stage of the entire route. We visited today 3 of the most beautiful places in the country: we went into the National Park of Triglav, we visited Bled (the most beautiful town in Slovenia) and we had a snack and a rest in the beautiful alpine lake of Bohinj.
Paying attention to our hostess in Kobarid, Natalija, we forgot the national road that leads to Bled bordering the national park and we took a bicycle (there are many!) That through this one takes us to our destination.
The bike trail begins on a very narrow but perfectly paved local road and we start climbing a hill that makes us overcome 200m in less than 3km, to digest breakfast as God Manda. As we ascend, the imposing mass of Triglav forms on our right, one of the symbols of the nation that every Slovenian must climb at least once in his life: 2,800m. On the ground that we tread at that time, forest and more forest, and almost no traffic. After crowning the hill, a buzzer descends until the asphalt leads to a track in perfect condition. This goes gently cresteando through beech, meadows, in the shadow of the massif of Triglav and accompanying the river Radovna in its descent. In addition to the idyllic landscape ... we are once again beteteros! Enjoying the double rolling on land.
After Spodnje Gorje, we take the road that, already leveling, takes us to Bled. Little to say: The image of the red roofs, on the island in the middle of the lake with an almost unreal blue color, with snowy mountains in the background, is hard to forget.
We take the road to Bohinjska Bistrica, itching up and especially "sticky" After about 15 km, we reach Bohinjska Bistrica and take the road that leads to Lake Bohinj. If we hallucinate with Lake Bled, this is 3 times bigger. Waters completely tame, snow lurking from the heights, ducklings ... also Sunday.
Fleeing from the exclusive accommodation prices in the area, we retraced our steps and passed through Bohinjska Bistrica towards Nemsky Rovt: tiny but beautiful mountain town, already on the way out of the Julian Alps, near but far from the tourist. To arrive, we have 4 km of ascension to what we call today a "little door", but tomorrow it continues and continues and the diminutive is taken away.
