Stage 9

Data of interest
This tour is a copy of the one I made kikemontanbike to which we thank him for his track with the difference that we did it in the opposite direction to him. We only made some change in the first stage and in the descent to Maribor where he takes the cable car and we descend by road.
We went to Liubjana from Bilbao by car and the cost between motorway and tolls was about € 360 one way and the same round, so that we did not get too hard we made night in Cremona and arrived in Liubjana the next day at noon that allowed us to have the whole afternoon free to get to know the city.
The route has a lot of asphalt and little track and can be done perfectly with saddlebags and we do it in 9 stages.
The route is 100% cyclable. It was carried out from August 28 to September 5, 2017. The weather was different for the first five days of sun and heat, two days of rain and two days of clouds and clearings.
The evaluation of each stage is something very particular what for some is nice for others is not so much and vice versa but all the stages have theirs.
The country would divide it into three parts: the northern high mountain area, the center of milder orography, with many vineyards and forests very similar to Euskal Herria and the Adriatic coast, although they are only a few kilometers long.
Slovenia is a country where its cities and towns have many bike lanes, so traveling around them is really comfortable and they respect you a lot, but on the road things change a lot and the trucks are very close to you.
The accommodation has been varied, hostels, apartments, rural houses some bungalow
and even a hotel. The average cost has been € 60 per double room.
The food is cheap but do not expect a great gastronomy that if the beer jar of 0,5l round 2.10 to 2.20 € an authentic bargain.
The tracks of the stages are corrected as we made some mistake and I think they will serve you perfectly since I have reviewed them well before hanging them.
If you want more information I will be happy to help you.
