Itinerary description

An Youtube Video of the Journey, including Action Cam clips taken while biking as well as clips from Drone flights (a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom model with Freewell ND Filters) can be seen at the following link:

While here it is a full description of the program we have set and followed:
DAY 01 (Monday July 15th
A) COPENHAGEN --> STORE HEDDINGE By TRAIN:
Copenhagen Centr. Stat. -> Koge Station, S-Train 40 Min. 9:24 - 10:04 AM (on S-Train, with the S, bicycles can be loaded for free !)
Koge Stat. -> Store Heddinge --> 10:11 - 10:37, by LokalBane 210R
B) STORE HEDDINGE --> STEVN Klint by Bike 6 Km, Stop By:
Stevns Fyrcenter
Stevns Klint --> Hike here, there is also a natural history museum
C) STEVN Klint -> R0DVIG , by Bike
D) R0DVIG -> FAXE LADDEPLADS , by Bike

Overall good terrain (asphalted) for bicycles, roughly 50% is on a separated cycle pathway, but people on car are very careful. The route is NOT adapt to trailers though in my opinion. Mainly flat with some up and downs, easy for trained bicyclists, moderate for beginners

We had dinner at the Bella Milano Pizzeria, and I had a kebab that was not memorable but not bad.

We Slept in a Cabin (Hytte) at the Faxe Ladeplads Camping
Hovedgaden 87
DK-4654 Faxe Ladeplads
Tlf. +4523950326
Email: Bensus1@hotmail.com
Essential clean camping, we had no kitchenette and no bathroom / shower inside the cabin (they were outside), overall no bad at all, but if you have the chance try to reach the Camping in Feddet: much bigger, better organized, with huge indoor swimming pool andseveral playgrounds for babies
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DAY 02 (Tuesday July 16th) FAXE Laddeplads -> PRAEST0
(32 Km with the Feddet Deviation), Estimated in 2:30 Hrs. Cycle Path is in very good conditions, 70% Asphalted, 30% Dirt (only if you decide to go through the Feddet peninsula), 50% on a separated lane. Outside Feddet the path goes up and down continuously, easy for trained cyclists, moderate for beginners, Feddet pathway is flat People on cars always very careful and reasonably slow. Generally speaking a lot of wind coming from all directions, and making cycling slightly more difficult
A) Faxe Laddeplads --> Feddet, If you can sleep here in Feddet Camping, we found fully booked), anyhow deviation for Feddet peninsula is worth, although a couple of Km after the Camping cycle pathway is not asphalted and slightly dirt (no drama at all) and more appropriate for trekking / touring bikes.
B) Feddet --> Nyso Slot (Castle)
C) Nyso Slot --> Praesto, Praesto is a nice village along the sea with cute downtown and good markets, way nicer than Faxe Laddeplads

Sleep in the Praesto Camping
Spangen 2
4720 Præstø
Telf. +4555991148
mail@praesto-camping.dk

The camping is clean and people are nice, we slept in a hytte, with no bathroom/kitchenette but showers outside the cabin were very clean and free to use anytime

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DAY 03 (Wednesday July 17th):
PRAESTO -> KOSTER/MONBROEN 25 Km, Estimated in 1 Hr. Easy pathway, mostly flat on a separated lane, weather was sunny and windy. We stopped in Kolehave village just at the base of the bridge. In facts to reach the Monbroen Camping we needed to go through a long brdige with a beautiful view (first half of the bridge is up-hill).

Sleep at Camping Mønbroen (one of the best and most organized Campings we have been into, the Cabin was awesome with Kitchen and Bathroom / shower, although quite expensive, roughly 100 Euros per night for 2 adults and a baby)
Tlf: +4555811808
E-mail: camping@moenbroen.dk
Kostervej 86 4780 Stege Møn

Right inhi front of the Camping there is a separated and very well mantained cycle pathway that is fully asphalted up to Koster, then merge into the main road. Anyway, close to the "Mon Stone", in front of the Camping there is a Bus stop (Number 660) that brings you in Stege downtown in 10 minutes, roughly 9 Km, beautiful view on the way. Stege is a nice tourisitc village with a lot of shops, bakeries, restaurants and markets (try to choos Super Brigsen if you can, quality is better then Rema1000 or Netto, in our opinion)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DAY 04 (Thursday July 18th): MONBROEN - STEGE - MONS KLINT - MONBROEN
67 Km, Estimated in 8 Hrs, cycle path is shared with cars, and route is hilly (would say moderate for trained, difficult for beginners). If you wish you can also use a mixed strategy, carrying bikes on Bus for a part of the route and biking the segments you prefer (for example Liselund Castle by bike is wonderful)
The 667 Bus operates between Stege and Klintholm Harbour.
At Klintholm Harbour, from May to September, you can then change to the 678 Bus,
which operates between Klintholm Harbour, GeoCenter Møns Klint and Liselund Castle.
If you take the 667, stop by the Klintholm Harbour and take the 678 up to Mons Klint then.
Places to visit:
Elmelunde Kirke (Stege) The oldest chruch in Mon (1080)

We Slept again at Camping Mønbroen in Koster
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DAY 05 (Friday July 19th): KOSTER/Monbroen - BOGO - STUBBEKOBING - NYKOBING FALSTER - NAKSKOV - TARS - SPODSBJERG

A) MONBROEN -> BOGO ISLAND, by Bike 21 Km, if you have time stop by Fanefjord Kirke on the way to Bogo. Some (30-40%) of the cycle path is shared, mostly flat though
B) BOGO ISLAND -> STUBBEKOBING, by Ferry https://www.bogoe-stubbekoebing.dk/home, no need to book
C) STUBBEKOBING -> NYKOBING FALSTER, By BUS, Nb 736, you can easily take up to 2 bikes on the Bus (IF there are no people with small babies or disabled)
https://moovitapp.com/index/en/public_transit-line-736-Danmark-2965-853541-732852-0
D) NYKOBING FALSTER -> NAKSKOV, by Train, Departures every 30 min, at xx:21 and xx:51, Duration 46 Min
E) NAKSKOV -> TARS by Bike (15 Km), easy but nothing to see
F) TARS -> SPODSBJERG by Ferry (45 Min), if you are with bicycles there is no need to book, although you can still do that online if you wish

We slept at Færgegårdens Camping (Spodsbjerg), very nice Camping, we had a cabin here with bathroom and kitchenette at a very good price, nice playground for the baby as well.

C) SVENDBORG -> AEROSKOBING 24Km, by Ferry https://aeroe-ferry.dk/home-en/#/ , if you are just on bicycle cannot book in advance but there will be place for you anyway. Ferry is pretty expensive, (74 euros for 2 adults and a baby > 3 years old) but you pay the twoway ride at the beginning (once payment then)

We Slept at the ArosKobing Camping, that was the worst Camping of the whole journey: The washing machine was out of order for both days, and we had to pay for every single shower we had, and although we booked a Maxi Cabin there was no bathroom or kitchen inside.
