Simple stage with ascent to the pass of Mã Pí Lèng, mountain neck of about 20 km in length. This road was built by people of the Yao, H'mong, Tay and Lolo ethnic groups in the 60s, to whom a monument has been dedicated that can be seen just before starting a superstatic descent.
The climb to the pass is a gift for the eyes and at the geological level you can see some folds in very interesting limestones.
This part of the route coincides with the "north loop", which many tourists do on rented motorcycles, so the amount of services on the road increases exponentially.
The accumulated positive slope presents an error and we believe that it will be approximately 600m, the sawtooth of the profile is due to GPS precision errors.
