First of all I have to say that there has been a slope registration failure in the track. The total unevenness accumulated in this section does not exceed 2000 m.
In Curtea de Arges we started the Transfagarasan road, which connects, through the summits of the southern Carpathians, the region of Valaquia with that of Transylvania. We will pass some towns and immediately the road will take spectacular tints, climbing steep slopes of vegetation and through mountain tunnels.
Half way we will arrive at Lake Vidraru, immense mass of water between forests populated by bears and deer. The road goes by the East side of the lake, but we chose to border it by the West, which is a lonely and unpaved road. After 20 kms of road, we return to the Transfagarasan, which will lead us to Piscu Negru, clear in the forest where there is a restaurant and a couple of hotels where we will spend the night, to face the next day the final ascent to the summit.

Me he cruzado con tus tracks en GoogleEarth y me ha ido de p... madre... Recorres gran parte de lo quiero hacer por Transilvania...
Dos preguntillas:
1) Crees viable subir de Curtea a arriba en un solo día? ¿Cuanto desnivel acumulado puede salir?
2) Sabes si se puede plantar tienda arriba? o si alguno de los alojamientos es tipo refugio?
