We left Cartisoara (a small village where nothing seems to have happened and through whose streets cattle and buffalo cattle transits) by dirt road. After a while, we will join the national road for five kilometers to leave it in Avrig, a favorable place to have a coffee and visit, if necessary, the Brukenthal Palace, a place of recreation of the Austrian governor of that name.
We will take roads through which we will cross some horse-drawn carriages and after a slight port, we will descend towards Cisnadie, where we had the opportunity to visit their church. The Saxon churches that we find throughout Transylvania, mostly from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, are fortified, surrounded by a defensive perimeter that, in general, has undergone several extensions, and that gave shelter to the temple, to the clergy and of the parishioners, in front of the Turkish threat and others.
Finally we arrived in Sibiu, which I consider the most interesting city in Transylvania. In addition to its impressive and lively historic center, it is worth visiting the Astra Museum, an open-air museum that has been transported stone by stone, typical houses from all regions of the country. I was also able to visit the Brukenthal Pinacoteca as well as the main and notable temples of the various Christian confessions.
