Itinerary description

Day 10 Chenonceaux to Blois 45.7 km
Uphill out of Chenonceaux and then back down into the Loire river valley at Château de Chaumont (N47.47909° E1.18209°). We stopped for lunch at Château de Chaumont but did not tour the chateau. We may be reaching chateau burn out? On into Blois with a stop at the Tourist Information Office (N47.58617° E1.33161°) to use Wi-Fi to find a hotel. Off to Hotel Ibis Blois Centre for the night. All of the hotels we stayed at along the tour have been very good at storing our bikes in a secure location each evening. After cleaning up, we went up to the Blois Royal Chateau (N47.58566° E1.33094°) to check out the famous external spiral staircase. We wandered through much of the chateau without needing to pay an entrance fee. Music festival in Blois this evening, stages set up all over the old town streets. We stopped to listen to local school children playing music on stage in the chateau courtyard, part of the music festival.
