Itinerary description
-> General informations on day D00 starting in Pokhara Backpackers Hostel.
So the big day... As a reminder, we have a porter to carry our paniers because of the weather.
Wake up 5h am, breakfast 5h30 and departure 6h (take a headlamp in winter). A long and steep trail to the top... pushing all the way.
The trail was frozen, icy and snowy so in some parts quite energy consuming. The trail is well marked by poles.
All the teahouses etc. are closed.
The way down is VERY like a moutain bike trail. I would not recommand gravel bikes or trekking bikes on that one. It is a very nice singletrack quite flowy at the beginning that turn into a technical hair-pin turns trail lower down. Would be very good on a trail bike.
Do not under-estimate the difficulty and duration of the descent. People not into moutain biking will probably walk most of the time. Even the jeep track is not really ridable because it is made of big rocks (10/20cm).
