Itinerary description
-> General informations on day D00 starting in Pokhara Backpackers Hostel.
The trail from Yak Kharka is quite nice an allow to pedal/cruise in some parts.
At 4km approx. there is a split : left big suspension bridge, right smaller wooden bridge. In winter take the suspension bridge as the was to the smaller one is very icy.
Landslide area : you will cross a landslide area well indicated by a sign. At this point the trail narrows down to 20cm at some point. Be very carefull with bicycles!
Lunch at Thorung Phedi (very expensive) then steep climb to High camp. Just before arrival there are a few steps (not a lot, quite easy), you will need to carry your bike.
We did a small acclimatation walk at the viewpoint.
At high camp, in winter :
- 1L of water : 250NPR
- Room : 500NPR
- Phone charge : 100NPR/h
- Extra blanket : 100NPR
Important on acclimatation : we did a jump from 4000m to 4800m which is more than the 400/500m per day recommanded not to get sick.
