Itinerary description
Every year I try to visit family and friends in Hungary at least once. This time I managed to go for a ride to with my brother in law´s bike :)
Me is just me, so I have planned a long ride. A full day in the saddle, visiting three countries. i started pedaling in Hungary, than I went to Austria, than through Slovenia back to Hungary. It was one hell of a ride!
The most emotional part was when I cycled along the border between Hungary and Austria. At one place, there was a watch tower and 10 meters of the iron curtain left behind as a memento from the past.
I was born in 1985, I do not remember much from those time. It was insane to think that 30 years ago where I have cycled freely now, I would have been shot on sight. It gave me goosebumps to think on this, while I was riding.
