Itinerary description

Day 3 of 5 day trip with children on C&O Bike trail from Cumberland, Maryland to DC. This was the longest portion of our trip, and was made longer by a detour onto hilly roads with fast moving cars. Reportedly, reconstruction of the trail causing this detour will soon be complete. Stayed overnight prior to this day's trip in Lockhouse 49, on the C&O Trail, and the night after the trail in accommodations in Harper's Ferry, WV. Trail grade is very easy, though occasionally the trail was muddy.
