Itinerary description
The track starts in El Chaltén, Argentina, includes the boat ride on the 2 lakes. Then from the southern point of the Carretera Austral to Puerto Montt. Due to the land slide in Villa Santa Lucia, I head to cycle towards Puerto Raul Marin Balmaceda to take the ferry to Chaitén.
From Puerto Montt, I rode part of the obvious route through the Lake District, but also big parts on minot ripio (gravel) roads to avoid traffic.
The route ends on top of Passo Icalma, the border with Argentina.
