Itinerary description
Namji City to Eulsook Island, Busan
Depart Namji by 5:30. Feels great. At least 3 hours of cool riding before feeling the heat begin to take the day.
This means 50-60 km before it gets to hot.
Still looking for blue signs and blue lines. If in doubt, check the map.
Wonderfully flat most of the day along the river. The clouds conversing with the mountains, hanging coolly in the morning air.
At a large park/rest area, I find a space away from other bicyclists to enjoy my snack and watch the river and the people. Not many people cycling at this time of summer, but since this is Sunday, many more have come out to enjoy the path for a day ride.
With 3.6 liters, I have plenty of water for this cooler ride today. And yet every drop counts. I drink most of it before arriving in Busan.
As it turns out I arrive at 을숙도 before 12 PM noon. In time for lunch (a can of tuna and a bag of blueberries).
“Welcome” archway opens up the park in greeting. The Start/Finish point is next to the archway.
You have reached your goal.

Park
A long long park under the shade of these wonderful trees. Smart planning. So thankful for the shade. Thanks trees. And colorful flowering shrubs along the park too.

The finish line 633km!!
The great stone marker shows “Start, 0 km” on the front side. For the “Finish, 633 km” plaque look on the grassy side. ^ ^
