From Rampur onwards the road is two-lane and you travel well even if there is enough traffic, passing through lively villages and lowering altitude again, after about thirty km you reach the junction for Shimla and now the long climb to Narkanda at about 2800mt, we climb up to Lathi at about 1700mt with last km under a beautiful monsoon thunderstorm, always better than the daily contrataria wind that has been with us for days now.
