Early morning stretching, meticulous and long, then on. They left the morning after a quick visit to the Spar of Vrnika for supplies, and off to Novo Mesto. Stage very beautiful landscape, easy and not very windy, with slight difference in height to overcome. Views of woods and valleys, that of the enchanting Krka. Castles, some of them very nice, very beautiful, vegetable gardens, fields and farmyard animals, cows and horses, churches with adjoining cemetery, very little roads and only one dirt road, or macadam, in the thick woods before descending into the Krka valley, percorribilissima. Good nutrition with bananas and two ham sandwiches. People to ask for information kind and helpful. Well-kept countryside and even more gardens. Meet fox. Weather clement, very cloudy but no rain. With the full sun it would have been another effort. Let's get on. Arrived in Novo Mesto, 36,000 inhabitants, very nice town with beautiful old town, which is part of a very nice and new hostel, where we will stay at € 23 per person with breakfast, in the room for four only for us, with the bathroom common that is still new and clean as the whole complex. There is no space to spread the clothes but ... We said to be on the main square, a few steps from the Krka. We eat in a restaurant on board a goulash in the Serbian way, you know. Visit a very old church in its part, with inside pictorial work of Tintoretto, seen only from a distance for religious function in progress.
