Itinerary description
Day 2 of a circular version of the Tour du Ciel, out of Zinal. In the Valais / Wallis, Switzerland.
A day trip from the Grand Mountet refuge to 3770m on Mont Durand (Arbenhorn). We had a lot of ice just under the snow, making the bootpack up and ski down the Col Durand difficult, and the upper slopes of Mont Durand unadvisable with just light touring axes.
