Itinerary description
We left in rather poor visibility conditions, following the standard track. On the glacier the visibility improved and we could do the Wildgratscharta in good conditions. Climb from the glacier is a but tricky because of the loose stones in the snow. No fixed rope on winter route and limited options to secure rope. Descent on East side is rather steep and narrow. We decided to secure with an abseil on the 1st narrow part (short touring rope). Lower part become wider. No stones in the eastern descent, so easier to do. Too bad the fog moved in from the valley and we had to find the hut via the gps and old tracks. Alpeiner Bach glacier however is not that tricky, it felt safe.
