Itinerary description
Again started the day in foggy conditions and light snow. Decided to take the approach via the Vorborgene Bergferner because it's gradual and without crevasses. Near the Turmscharte weather cleared. We climbed the Turmscharte with crampons (better) and used an extra rope to secure. The fixed rope however would be sufficient for most people I guess. Other groups coming down used an abseil: It's pretty steep!
On the glacier easy climb to the Wildes Hinterbergel. We made a navigation error and ended up on the Bergglasferner unintended. Crevasses were mostly well covered however and with the improved visibility we managed a rather safe route down. Original plan was the Turmferner, closer to the rocks: Probably the safer option. Personally I would have felt safer skinning up the Bergglasferner than skiing down.
