Itinerary description
Nice medium-lenght tour. In case of fresh snowfall and on fat skis with rocker you'll get plenty of enjoyment on wide meadows in the first half. But this is the south side and the snow quality deteriorates rapidly. Beware of big, wind-blown snow caps on the edge of the Stuhleck basin. Ascent and descent on the ridge following the marking rods in the upper half of the tour is safe, but the snow there is often blown away to the ground. Tour through the basin (right side, we took it on descent) is more interesting, but beware of avalanches. Alois-Gunther Haus on the summit of Stuhleck is usually full of resort skiers, finding a place there in peak times may be impossible.
