BEN MACDUI AND CAIRNGORM

Our first day skiing on Scotland. Cold and windy day with few snow out of the ski resort. The landscapes are superb and despite the bad conditions it is a great and long trip.

First day of mountain skiing in Scottish lands. The chosen option is Ben Macdui, the second highest mountain in Scotland, located on the Caingorms massif (entrance to Glen More Forest Park).
We start from the same station, we will have to make efforts to find the snow so that outside the ski area, we observe that it is quite scarce.
We leave the parking lot and we go to the right of the station avoiding the tracks through the summer path, from far away we observe a torrent with snow that we believe will be good for climbing.
We arrive at the torrent and we can already see that the little snow that is there is completely frozen.
We keep going bordering the Cairn Lochain (left). Then the road makes a slight descent that we do without removing skins because it is not worth it.
When the road is back on track, we are slowly gaining height and finally reach the top of Ben Macdui. Let's talk with some Scottish guys who tell us that it's a "nice day" for them ... (rufa, wind and clouds that cover everything).
After eating a little bit and taking the photos with rigor, we take the skins and start the descent by undoing the way back. When we get to the plane before the last climb we begin to divert ourselves to the right in a long flanking to the right of the Cairn Lochain. We move with skis on the back to a promontory that separates Cairn Lochain and Cairn Gorm.
To go look for the Cairn Gorm, we go back to skiing and take advantage of a descent of 150 meters of unevenness with ice sheets and windy snow.
We go back to the last peak (Cairn Gorm) with the skis in the back. When we are up, we note that the descent on the north face is completely windy and without snow. We descent on foot about a hundred meters where we find the snow to be able to get off already to the car through the ski slopes.
