Itinerary description
2018-03-25 Hochjoch-hospiz to Vernagt hut, via the Fluchtkogel. Mostly easy, you may need to walk across a rock rib early on, if there is not enough snow. The glacier up to the peak is very long, especially if it's hot. The peak is easy, done on skis to the summit. We were able to ski down to the Vernagt hut but apparently in low snow years it may be below the snow line. To not have to skin back up to the hut, stay skiers left on the final descent and stay high.
