Itinerary description
Disembark at glacier Gaftlebreen. We skied up along the eastern side of the glacier and then turn on the right up to a safe saddle. There we took skis off and put on crampons to get to the summit. Great landscape views and lots of glaciers around
We went back to the saddle and skied down the other side, quite step and icy. We went down on the glacier and met two rail deers.
Skied up to a second peak and then down to the bay. Then long walk along the coast to meet the zodiac. It was cold and windy and we were happy to be back to the ship for a hot shower and good soup. Great day!
