Itinerary description
Very nice loop from the hut up to Mont Durand with a pleasant ski down. We took the high line -this line is now NOT used by guides with clients, don't take it unless you are confident with scrambling across the ridge and you can ski the traverse without falling. The drop off is serious! Don't ski the traverse unless the snow is very stable. The alternative is to skin up a version of our descent track.
The face of Mont Durant is also fairly steep, as an alternative you can stash skis and climb up the ridge to the climbers right of the track - the standard route for guides and clients.
