In this stage we change the original route and take a variant to make the stage more entertaining and not to do it along the winter road.
Soon after we started, we turned right and entered the valley where we began to contemplate the glaciers ...
Immediately we get into one of them and on the right we avoid the area of cracks to reach a flatter part in which we turn left and go to a hill that looks, this stretch is long and gives us an idea the size of the glaciers through which we move.
Once in the hill we chose a summit on the right Bukkeholstindar 2166m, from where we contemplate the wide panorama of glaciers and also the route that we must follow, another wide quite flat glacier, until we reach the seracs area, where we are looking for the best stretch to follow with beautiful views of blue ice.
Once in the valley, we put seals and touches to reach a hill, but on the way appears a very striking peak which we see on the map that has a path that leads to the top, so change plans and Kyrkja, This is an extra climb to a hill and then by a small shovel full of tracks we go back with skis to where the snow ends, the surprise is that there is still a few meters of climbing rocks with some small climb without much difficulty, from the top we see the refuge and the westernmost part of Jotunheimen Park and in this area there is much more snow.
Descent and paddling to reach the refuge.
