Excursion departing from from Lokve. You start walking up the road to the Passo dei Turchi (Turski Klanec, 1101m). When you get to the pass, take the road to the left, into the forest, and after about 5 km from the side (3 km from the pass), near a crossroads, go up a last steep slope in the woods to the top of Mount Bukovec (1445 m). There is no marked path and it is necessary to orientate yourself with a good map.
In fun descent you retrace the traces of ascent up to the junction and continue along the road for about 1 km. Then you leave it to climb through a beech forest to the top of Smrekov Vrh (1449 m).
From there, follow the ridge to the top of Monte Golaki (1495 m), looking for the most comfortable route in the woods.
Normally the return is easy because the descent to the Iztokova refuge Koca and the path up to Mala Lasna are traced because they are very popular.
Finally you return to Lokve, again, to the Turks pass, thus closing this great crossing on the Lokve Mountains.
Notes: it is possible to start from the Turks' pass to shorten the path of about 4km. The itinerary requires good snowfall due to the presence of stones and stones. Recommended expendable skis and a helmet (you can ski in the woods!).
The excursion takes place in wide and wild areas: outside the most frequented roads, the indications are completely missing and, given the difficulty of orientation, it is absolutely necessary to have a good ability to move in these lands and a detailed map possibly accompanied by a gps device. We traveled during a snowfall with poor visibility, but we knew the route.
