Itinerary description
200kms on track + 40km without pulka
Start Storlien, End Selbuskogen.
hotels in Storlien /Vaekterstua /Nordpa. Rest of the nights in Norvegian cabins.
Because of storm didn't make it to Kjolihytta. Back and day after by bus to Graesli. There we went up to Nordpa (Aunegrenda) in white-out, day after back to Graesli and then further. In Nordpa and Vaekterstua I completed the day with some hours on the nordic ski area, without pulka.
Better not follow our start from Graesli (road) to Nordpa; the start up through the forest was tough. Climbing a small path over a little stream. The day after we made our own track just outside the forest, far more easy.
Last day was very long because we lost one day (broken shoe), normally we would have slept in Kvitfjellhytta too.
Sometimes rivercrossing not possible, even on nordic ski track.
More meters of altitude then we are used to have on our trips. But no really difficult parts. Only difficult weather sometimes, or difficulties in finding winter pole marks...
this track gives only 4300 meters of altitude. We had about 5600m. And another 800 on the 40 extra kilometers I did without pulka...
