Distances and cumulated altitude: 4 km, +210 m
The mountain center of Kiilopää, with a capacity of up to 300 people, is isolated in the heart of one of the best Nordic sites in Lapland, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle and half an hour from the city of Ivalo. . It is located in the southern part of the city of Inari, at the foot of the Lappish mountains of Kiilopää and Ahopää at the gates of the Urho Kekkonen National Park, in Finland.
This place is very popular among Finns for its 300 km of cross-country trails, traditional sports in the country, but also for a whole range of Nordic activities for clients such as snowmobile safaris, dog sledding, reindeer, Ice fishing, snowshoe hiking, etc. Supervision (optional) is usually offered in English.
The quality of the snow is excellent from November to May, with an almost unlimited track outside field. After a day of activities, you can enjoy a cozy chalet near the wood fire or also take a walk through the traditional sauna, before contemplating the magic of the northern lights in the night sky.
