Itinerary description
Honda SXS Side by Side Trip Around Cape Breton. July 2022
4 Days, 3 Nights. Just under 700km traveled. New Waterford to Sydney and then a loop around Cape Breton Island, over the Highlands and down Kelly's Mountain and back to New Waterford.
Mainly followed another users ATV map and included some of my own detours. Use at own risk. Difficult sections and some on road traveling to get to certain areas.
Had some issues with the Wikiloc app and had to combine a few different efforts to record the trail.
2021 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 SXS - Weighing in at 1280kg loaded with 2 men and gear!
Needed the winch in a few locations. As well as chainsaw for a number of large downed trees. Lots of thick overgrowth compared to size of machine, but it had a soft enclosure and roof on and it didn't rip or tear, be prepared and take your time and you should be fine.
