Itinerary description
Left Sydney, Friday May 20th, drove to Marion Bridge on to Framboise, into L'ardoise and to St Peter's. Spent the night in hammocks in Westbay area.
Had a late start Saturday morning but we drove to Glendale into Mabou, right through to Kenloch, passed Scotsville and over the mountain to Margaree and stayed the night in Kingross. Sunday, woke up to the sound of the river and had an early start. Scooted up the highlands and down to rear Big Baddeck, crossed the highway to big Harbour and took a nice trail to Seal Island Bridge. Then we found trouble from Boularderie Island to Bras D'or. Took the last section along the hwy 125 and we're home.

Did this trail in July. Lots of thick brush and growth in different areas if planning on going! Make sure you have a winch and chainsaw. The trail maps on the east side of the island were especially invaluable to me as I was not familiar with any of those trails at all. Great resource to have shared with the public. Thanks again for the map Dave!
Link to my maps with recordings to New Waterford as well as some other areas not on Dave's map. Show's where I went around the trouble in Bouldardie Island as well.

Just wondering guys, is this a trip requiring camping or are there motels that one can spend the night at. Would really love to do this trail and seriously thinking of doing it this summer / early fall
We camped but I'm sure you could find places to stay
Wow! That was quick. :-) I would love to camp but I'm not certain if my wife and friends are up to it.
Make sure you check the map out closely there is a bit of road driving
Take care and have fun
