Itinerary description
There was a blizzard during our visit and the upper lift accessing the advanced runs was not operating. There were three chair lifts going, serving the beginner to intermediate sections. The ski schools were well attended, and the parts we skied are excellent learning or beginner runs.
We rented good boots and skis from the shop attached to the hot spring resort at the bottom of the hill, accessed through a passage off the resort lobby. Not expensive. Four-run and half-day lift passes are also available.
The hot spring is excellent, with a natural milk blue mineral water. It's accessible to non-residents of the resort hotel.
Waypoints:
1) Cabins-Washrooms; At the top of the long chair lift from the base station. Another lift goes higher from here. Drink machines, clean washrooms.
2) Top of Upper Lift; The highest point serviced on the day. A higher lift to more difficult runs was closed due to the blizzard conditions.
3) Base Station, ski rentals, lift tickets
